Position Title: Job Planner/Manager
Location: Freeport, TX USA 77541
Duration: Contract
Job Summary: The Job Planner/Manager is responsible for managing unplanned work and developing job plans to drive work execution efficiency and asset availability. The position requires hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of Instrument and Electrical systems and equipment, an understanding of maintenance work processes, and the ability to procure and expedite materials and resources.
The Job Planner/Manager will work closely with maintenance supervisors, engineers, and technicians to develop job scopes, job step sequences, labor and material requirements, and skill requirements. The Job Planner/Manager will also create task lists for recurring jobs and continually improve job plans by obtaining feedback from work crews, updating task lists, and maintaining a spare parts inventory.
The Job Planner/Manager will be responsible for managing the backlog of unplanned work, providing Tier One troubleshooting, identifying permitting requirements and special isolation needs, and creating job packets for field execution. The Job Planner/Manager will also assist in emergency or critical priority jobs by expediting materials and coordinating other crafts/resources and fulfilling any other activities (non-standard) assigned by the supervisor.
The Job Planner/Manager will differentiate, plan, and assign the work between the I&E technicians and the controls systems technician groups. The position will also make daily decisions on whether controls system work can be performed by the cluster IE technicians or by the controls systems technicians and assign the work order accordingly.
Job Requirements:
· Associate degree in instrumentation or electrical and minimum 4+ years of instrumentation experience in a chemical/petrochemical or another similar manufacturing environment.
· Hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of Instrument and Electrical systems and equipment, and crafts, along with an understanding of maintenance work processes. Possess an understanding of maintenance schedule.
· Ability to procure and expedite materials and resources.
· Deal effectively with the unknown and unexpected and possess the ability to handle non-routine and emergency activities, such as schedule breakers, plant shutdowns, start-ups, etc.
· Excellent organizational and work management skills.
· Keen attention to detail and a high degree of quality orientation.
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
· Experience with SAP is a plus.

Additional Description
· Must have a minimum of 2+ years of planning using SAP.
· An associate degree is not required.
· Minimum of 5+ years in instrumentation and electrical and minimum 4+ years of instrumentation experience in a chemical/petrochemical or another similar manufacturing environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
