POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Physical Therapy Secretary/PT Aide
Job Summary: Provides indirect patient care in the Physical Therapy Department. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Implements directions from the providers and physical therapy staff.
Regulatory Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- One year experience in an acute care hospital preferred.
- Medical terminology course required.
- BCLS certification.
Language Skills:
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages desirable.
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Able to type 40 words per minute.
