MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an experienced and Board Certified physician to join our Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit located in Dubuque, Iowa.

The ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient rehabilitation and a strong desire to grow this vital program to serve our community. This opportunity is available to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine physicians with rehabilitation experience. Interested candidates must be Board Certified and have experience managing medical cases. In addition, candidates should be a great team player who is comfortable working with an interdisciplinary care team including nurses, physicians, and therapists.

The schedule for this full-time opportunity includes 36 patient contact hours perweek.

MercyOne Dubuque's Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit has been providing the community with comprehensive rehabilitation for over 35 years. The inpatient rehab unit is currently a 9-bed department including an independent living apartment, but the unit has potential for immediate growth up to 17 beds. Patients on the rehabilitation unit range in age from 18 years to geriatrics. Common diagnoses seen on the unit include stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury, Guillain Barr syndrome, Parkinson's disease, multiplesclerosis,

major multiple traumas, cardiac conditions, orthopedic conditions, and other conditions causing impairments in functional areas.

We are proud that our MercyOne Dubuque inpatient rehab unit has been accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) since 1989. CARF accreditation means our programs meet the highest standards in quality, safety, and outcome measures, which provide risk-reduction and accountability in our patient care.
