Under the supervision of registered pharmacists, pharmacy technicians are responsible for filling and delivering medications, restocking automated dispensing cabinets, filling emergency carts and trays, compounding and packaging, collecting patient home medication lists, checking expiration dates, managing inventory, participating in process improvements and safety initiatives, and interacting with other discipline in a positive collaborative atmosphere. Once certified, participating in the sterile IV compounding program.

Peterson Health has an established Pharmacy Technician Career Ladder Program which is designed to support and recognize exceptional pharmacy technicians for advancing their pharmacy technician practice, professional development, education, service excellence skills and process improvement skills.

Not a certified pharmacy technician yet? We are willing to train and assist selected employee in gaining required certification. This position is a great opportunity to grow within a hospital setting.

Available Shifts: full time or part time, days or evenings

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma (or GED)
Credentials: CPhT certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, TSBP licensed Pharmacy Technician or PHarmacy Technician Trainee. Can obtain certifications once hired.
Certification in Pharmacy Aseptic Techniques Course. Can obtain certifications once hired.
