Overview: We are searching for an outgoing professional to join our team as a Personal Lines Producer! This position is responsible for developing new personal insurance opportunities in the Cedar Valley and maintaining existing accounts. This is a hybrid position located in Waterloo, IA.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Consultative Sales: Leverage and build a network of professional contacts and develop a pipeline of potential clients, in addition to further development of existing client relationships. Search for new business opportunities by networking, phone calls, face-to-face meetings, presentations, and association events. Manage the sales cycle through effective organizational, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Establish a collaborative working dynamic with team members for effective performance throughout the sales process.
• Drive Sales Results: Leverage your business acumen and training to increase revenue to the agency and build a book of business.
• Analytical: Develop a thorough and accurate understanding of the clients’ needs. Design insurance and risk management plans for clients.
• Relationship Development: Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers, clients, and underwriters through networking and effective communication. Self-starter with ambition and active participation in community involvement opportunities to develop and grow a professional network.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in business, communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a State of Iowa insurance license.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, follow-through, and time management.
• Initiative with a willingness to learn and develop. No previous insurance experience required!
• Creativity and adaptability to the changes in our industry and with our clients’ needs.
