Apelah, Inc., a Mississippi-based health, human, and social services nonprofit, is seeking a compassionate candidate to join its Home and Community-Based Services team in Hernando, MS as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in Hernando, MS. If you are seeking a meaningful opportunity with a reputable and long-standing non-profit that allows you to assist some of the most vulnerable populations in our community, Apelah may be the perfect fit for you! This PRN/part-time position will be responsible for providing services to home care clients in DeSoto County, Tunica County, Tate County and Marshall County. Some PCA duties include, but are not limited to, personal care, routine household chores, and maintaining accurate and timely visit notes. Apelah continues to work through the healthcare crisis with appropriate infection control measures and personal protective equipment.

• Completion of a 40 hour training program to prepare the Personal Care Assistant for the task and responsibility of this service; Exemptions may apply

• High school graduate or GED preferred

• Experience with home management, care of children, and/or disabled, ill or convalescent people, which would indicate the abilities to perform the duties of this position is preferred, but not required. The agency will provide all necessary provider training to ensure success.

• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable vehicle required.
