Licensed Practical Nurse -LPN -  $2000 sign-on bonus! Starting salary $30 per hour and up based on experience.

Seeking LPN to provide nursing care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential settings. We have group homes in Buchanan and/ or Ossining, NY.

In this role, you will observe, report, and record symptoms, signs, behaviors, and reactions to medications, treatments or nursing procedures.

You will work with the team to ensure the physical safety and security of the individuals by determining each individual’s ability to contribute to his or her own safety, and by taking the precautionary or preventative measures necessary to adequately safeguard the individuals from self-inflicted injury or environmental hazards that may cause injury.

You will be responsible for maintaining the individuals’ medical records, including all pertinent nursing and medical forms, pharmacy reviews, and update all laboratory work and consultations.

You will be responsible for providing thorough training and appropriate information to the staff and all personnel involved in our individuals’ care in areas such as preventive health care, personal hygiene, and potential side effects of medications, first aid and annual nursing required training.
You will manage the nursing care of our individuals, including determining the need for immediate physician attention and the implementation of the medical orders.

You must be able to effectively oversee the medication administration system and administer medications to individuals as needed.
Keep accurate records and follow-up of individuals’ medical appointments and schedule appointments as necessary.

The Licensed Practical Nurse must possess a New York State license to practice.
