About The Position

This PC/IT Systems Lead position is categorized as a Part -time Year-Round hourly, non-exempt position (PT/YR). The workload for this position is varied based on the time of the year. Scheduled days within the department vary based on department needs. Flexibility on weekends is required, and occasional troubleshooting on days off. This position reports to the General Manager and Management Team.

The PC/IT Systems Lead role is a multi-faceted position that ensures all essential networks, registers, and personal computers are functioning properly for all intended uses, which may require occasional availability on days off via text/phone/remote for IT support and troubleshooting. IT work varies depending upon the time of year. A successful PC/ IT Systems Lead will demonstrate excellent interpersonal relationships, organizational skills, and foster teamwork within various departments.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware. Contact IT Consultant if assistance is needed.
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
• Help Office and Receiving to maintain accurate IT inventory across the business, including IT inventory.
• Participate in Inventory processes, especially involving POS system and updates.
• Monitor and maintain network equipment and technology tools, copiers and other electronic equip.
• Maintain digital security of business, including access controls, backups, and firewalls with assistance from IT Consultant as needed.
• Monitor network performance and maintain systems according to requirements, which may include helping with the greenhouse systems.
• Research and recommend technology solutions through intradepartmental communication and budgeting. All purchases must be presented to management for approval.
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages, which may include helping troubleshoot greenhouse technology systems.
• Support store’s end of year Inventory processes and help with maintenance of inventory tracking programs.
• Provide technical support and set up/break down support for Events and Community Programs.
• Maintain Wi-Fi access throughout greenhouse for staff and guests.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES OF A PC/IT SYSTEMS LEAD:

• Effective technical analysis, problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and time management skills
• Attention to detail, sense of urgency, and self-initiative
• 2+ years’ experience in a technical support or other IT position
• 2+ years’ experience end-user support position
• Knowledge of networking administration
• Experience with Microsoft Windows AD and Windows 10 or current Microsoft operating system.
• Familiarity of Counterpoint POS (Point of Sale) system, phone systems, Wi-Fi networks, deploying and maintaining network-wide software applications (antivirus, remote desktop connectivity, etc.) Google Suite, MSSQL

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 20 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. As all positions within Tagawa Gardens requires assisting other departments during critical times in the peak season, this position requires that you can regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions varies; to include inclement weather (rain, snow, heat, cold).
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• All employees must follow the safety guidelines and procedures set by Tagawa Gardens, use equipment and materials correctly for their intended purpose, and determine appropriate action for dealing with all situations that may arise.
