Ad vantage Auto group is growing and is looking for a Payroll specialist to be responsible for processing weekly payroll for salary and hourly, union and non-union employees. Responsibilities
- Works with managers to collect weekly time cards
- Enter, review and reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies as necessary
- Prepares and issues paychecks in paper and digital formats
- Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions. This includes weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually or on request
- Prepares and files all hiring and termination paperwork in coordination with the human resources department
- Maintains records for leave eligibility including but not limited to vacations, holiday and sick leave
- Processes employee insurance forms and payments in coordination with human resources department
- Understands the rules and regulations associated with payroll processing at the state and federal level
- Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
- Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
- Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policy
Requirements
- At least 2-4 years of Payroll
- Should be able to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential issues
- Candidate should have good customer service and overall understanding of accounting
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities
- Strong work ethic and team player
- PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Paylocity experience a plus
- Union experience a plus
