Registration Specialist
Pay Rate: $32/hr
Duration 7 Months
Hours: 11:45am-8:15pm, every 4th weekend (6 hours) and rotating every 4th holiday.
Location Quakertown, PA

Registration Specialist - Job Summary:

Coordinates all aspects of patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling of patients accurately. Conducts patient interviews by phone and in-person for the purpose of establishing an account, gathering demographic,
insurance, and clinical information to ensure appropriate patient scheduling and optimal financial clearance. Educates patients regarding financial responsibilities and collects out of pocket fees.

Education - Required:

• High School Diploma/GED

Education - Preferred:

• Associate's Degree Health care or related field

Experience - Required:

• 2-4 years Customer Service, Registration and Insurance verification in a health care setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:

• Computer and typing proficiency.
• Must be able to interact with a diverse customer base, including those seeking emergency services or treatment due to an accident or illness.
• Must successfully pass the required training in two attempts or less.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Preferred:

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Bi-lingual - Spanish/English.

Licensure - Preferred:

• BLS - Basic Life Support
