Summary:
- This skilled position is responsible for the installation, set up, repair and ongoing maintenance of vending, cooling and/or fountain equipment at customer accounts. This person diagnoses equipment problems, using judgment to determine how to best repair or replace it. This person also serves as the contact for parts suppliers. Order parts and supplies as requested and authorized by the Service Manager. Track shipping for all items ordered, file and organize invoices, and work within the budgetary guidelines established by the Service Manager.
Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Repair and perform preventative maintenance on marketing equipment. Remove old parts and replace with new parts.
- Unload/Load vending machines into accounts
- Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep procedures
- Install equipment: Make holes and route lines to connect product to dispensing unit; connect water supply, gas supply; find drain for units with ice; build racks and connect lines for BIB
- Fill installed equipment and adjust to proper mixture
- Prioritize and schedule service and PM calls to meet customer service windows
- Drive to locations, evaluate issues and perform necessary work
- Collect accurate and complete equipment and customer information
- Maintain parts inventory on service vehicle
- Establish positive relationships with contacts from service calls
- After each call, complete paperwork on job and submit
- Must be able to lift product repeatedly, weighing at least 55 pounds during an 8–10-hour work period.
- Using proper equipment, move vending machines weighing between 800 and 1200 pounds.
