Description

This is not your run-of-the-mill paralegal position. This position is the perfect fit for the right candidate. The Paralegal supports the General Counsel in a myriad of legal matters, including litigation, employment, corporate governance, and M&A. This position requires the ability to multi-task, work independently and meet deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Interface with outside counsel while remaining aware of legal expenses.
• Provide litigation support, including interviewing witnesses, analyzing data, and drafting discovery responses.
• Provide general corporate governance support by updating Board Minutes, preparing and filing corporate organizational and operational documents, and general contract management.
• Draft a variety of legal documents, including but not limited to, severance and general release agreements, confidentiality agreements, employment agreements, and EEOC charge responses.
• Prepare a variety of reports for the General Counsel on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Creation of various reports, which will require strong knowledge of Excel and Pivot Tables.
• Routine administrative functions, including processing invoices and handling travel reimbursements.
• Perform any other task or special projects as requested.

Qualifications

• High level of energy and ability to work the hours needed to accomplish the job.
• Confidence and professionalism to interact with senior leadership.
• Desire to work closely with the General Counsel on high-profile matters.
• Minimum 5 years litigation experience with preference toward candidates who have supported a General Counsel and/or other Executives.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of employment law preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, analytic, and management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while demonstrating the utmost professionalism and a customer-focused attitude.
• Strong sense of humor.
