Penmac Staffing is currently seeking an experienced painter to fill an opening in the Deer Creek area to spray paint liquid or powder paints onto customer components in a manufacturing environment, maintaining customer and company standards and requirements.

The ideal candidates should have at least 3 years painting experience.

This person will perform most of the work in a production environment with noise and other related interruptions, wearing personal protective equipment.

There will be lifting required, possibly up to 75 pounds.

Requirements of the painter position:
1. Ability to understand, follow and issue written and oral instructions.

1. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.

1. Must be able to present ideas effectively, orally and in writing.

1. Working knowledge of paint applications, practices and procedures.

1. Ability to monitor and evaluate paint requirements for mixing, application, racking etc.

The qualifications listed above are guidelines. Other combinations of education and experience could provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job.

Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Paint the components according to specifications and quality requirements.

1. Ensures that quality and production volumes are met as defined by Quality Assurance and the Production Supervisor.

1. Identifies and makes recommendations to the appropriate IFS Inc. representative regarding time, quality, processing, equipment, cost savings, efficiency, etc.

1. Reports in a timely manner: production issues, materials required and any other production related information to the Production Supervisor or Quality Assurance Technician.

1. Performs tasks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

1. Performs any tasks assigned such as racking, masking, sanding, etc. that may be required.

1. Keep equipment clean, maintained and in optimum working condition.

1. Maintains cooperative working relationships with fellow employees and staff personnel.

1. Assists the Production Supervisor in making sure that the hazardous waste storage area is kept neat and in an orderly manner. Ensure tasks listed on weekly hazardous waste storage inspection checklist are followed and maintained.

1. Follow all rules and policies regarding paint equipment, paint storage. Handling and disposal of paint containers, etc. This is a very important part of a painter's job function and responsibility.

1. Maintains standards of good housekeeping in work area. Follows safety policies and the use of required safety equipment.

1. Completes additional duties as required.
