At our facility as a Physician Assistant, you will provide Urgent care services, perform physical examinations, order laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, and prescribe treatment plans for patients of all ages.

Primary Job Duties:

• Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients including urgent, emergent and non-urgent presentation.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including ECGs and X-rays as appropriate
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury.
• Perform occupational health services, including Worker's Compensation visits
• Refers patients to PCP or specialist as appropriate.
• Perform procedures including laceration repair, I & D’s, removal of foreign bodies, joint immobilization and ear irrigations.
• Explain procedures, discuss test results and provide education to patient
• Document findings and treatment course in patient electronic medical records including progress note. *experience with EClinicalWorks (ECW) a plus*
• Direct professional and ancillary staff regarding patient care
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of medical conditions and injuries that may present to an urgent care setting.
• Assist with training and orientation of new Provider staff.
• As of 2023, all Providers are required to be a certified DOT Medical Examiner. If you are not certified, LevelUp can assist with the process of obtaining your certification.

Licensure/Certifications:

• State and Federal licensure.
• DEA licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Preferred: Certified DOT Medical Examiner

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of medical coding.
• Knowledge of the principles and practice of urgent care medicine.
• Knowledge of the principles and practice of occupational health

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75.00 per hour
