The Helen Bader School of Social Welfare, Department of Social Work has been awarded a $1.8+ million dollar, 4-year grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration to administer the
Youth-Oriented Substance Abuse and Trauma Counseling II: Focus on Integrated Care and Technology (YOSAT II) project. YOSAT II will train a diverse pool of Master of Social Work (MSW) students in high quality, youth-oriented substance use and trauma counseling. MSW students accepted into the program will receive a $10,000 fellowship to complete YOSAT II with $1.1+ million dollars of the total project award being dedicated to MSW student support costs. Project co-Principal Investigators are Drs. Lisa Berger and Dimitri Topitzes, joined by co-Investigators Drs. Ai Bo and Linda Britz, Amy Kirby, and Jeanne Wagner.
Job Summary
This position provides logistical support to the Director, Co-Director, and other team members and oversees/coordinates various project activities and functions. Supports outreach and recruitment activities and program enrollment procedures. Tracks student progress through the YOSAT II project, including monitoring program requirements and distributing program payments, and generating and issuing certificates to graduating students. Coordinates and organizes project events and continuing education events. Schedules, facilitates, and generates minutes from all YOSAT II project meetings, and schedules and convenes meetings with stakeholder groups. Works closely with the Evaluator and Research Assistant as needed to collect, enter, manage, and analyze project data and writes and submits project reports. Provides direct supervision to any student interns and/or employees.
This position is being offered as a 50% to 75% appointment for one year depending on candidate preference, continuation at the selected percentage is dependent upon funding.
Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
- Familiarity with building information systems
- Demonstrated experience with organizational tools such as network drives and Excel files
- Demonstrated experience with program evaluation, data management, and report writing
- Master’s degree in Social Work or related field
- Strong organizational skills as evidenced in application materials
