Signet Health manages the behavioral health services for MedStar Washington Hospital Center. We are currently hiring a full-time therapist to help us grow our addiction related and co-occurring services. We have openings for Full-time and PRN licensed therapists. The full-time position will be Monday through Friday, from 9a-5:00p. Services include:
- Psychosocial evaluation
- Addiction related individual, group, and family therapy
- Addiction Intensive Outpatient Program
- Interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Crisis intervention
- Abiding to :
- Joint Commission and other regulatory standards for clinical documentation
- APA and/or NASW Code of Ethics and exemplifies the qualities and values of the social work profession.
- These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as Signet Health/Diamond Healthcare and MedStar Hospital’s philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
Active District of Columbia license as a Psychologist or LICSW. An LPC will be considered with adequate experience. In addition, CAC II is beneficial.- Minimum of 2 years direct addiction related services with adults. Preferably within a hospital or community mental health system.
- Experience with local community resources and conducting groups.
- Must be flexible to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, and display excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to serve as an addiction related subject matter expert within a supportive interdisciplinary team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides in-person therapy and group services to identified patients and families at the Outpatient Clinic and virtually through our telehealth platform.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and other levels of care through the healthcare system. Facilitates communication regarding relevant psycho-social issues of patients and families to health care teams through timely documentation in medical charts, consultations and participation in meetings.
- Coordinates between patient, family, hospital, and community resources to assure continuity of care and discharge planning from outpatient services.
- Completes and documents full psychosocial assessments.
- Serves as a resource for patients with addiction related needs, and provides a link to addiction and co-occurring treatment and community resources.
- Attends regular interdisciplinary team meetings for the operational and administrative functions of the outpatient care service.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the position and area. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of work assigned to this classification and is not an exhaustive list of all duties.
