We are looking to employ a hard-working and experienced OTR Driver to transport cabinets between various locations across the country. The OTR's responsibilities include obtaining customers' signatures upon completion of each delivery, ensuring that the freight is properly secured for transportation, and notifying management of any freight damage sustained during transportation. You should also ensure that the truck is labeled with the correct placards when transporting hazardous materials or oversized cargo. To be successful as an OTR Driver, you should be knowledgeable of road safety regulations and able to maintain concentration for extended periods. Ultimately, an outstanding OTR Driver should demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills as well as adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to drive long distances to make deliveries in other states as assigned and in a timely manner.
• Must be professional and courteous at all times, whether driving on the road or delivering cabinets.
• Must being physically able to use a dolly to load and unload freight as required.
• Perform pre-drive physical inspection of the tractor and trailer and report any deficiencies.
• Must be accurate in maintaining DOT logs, work/break times and company shipping documents.
• Obey all traffic and DOT laws at all times.
• Inform superiors immediately of any fines, citations or accidents.
• Inventory items delivered to the customer with the correct shipping documents.
• Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, federal, state and local laws.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required with 2-3 years experience as a commerical driver.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to understand work instructions and directions in English.
• Class A Commerical Driver's License
