About the Practice
Piqua Family Eye Care is part of Mercer In-Sight Family Eye Care with locations in Celina, Piqua, Sidney, and Van Wert. Serving residents for over 35 years, the practice is a staple in the community, dedicated to providing each patient with the highest quality eye care in the most professional and friendly manner. Combining cutting-edge technologies and a caring team of professionals, the practice specializes in primary care optometry, disease diagnosis and management, myopia control, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management. To help support a growing patient base and preserve the legacy care clients know and expect, the business is looking to add an Optometrist to the team of 4 doctors and 22 staff members.
This tech-forward practice utilizes state-of-the-art vision care technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology, including optical coherence tomography, Optomap, and visual fields. A full team of optometric professionals supports an efficient patient flow, enabling the doctors to focus on patient-centric care. The Opticians provide personalized assistance to help customers select the proper frames tailored to medical needs and fashion preferences.
About the Optometrist Opening
Piqua Family Eye Care is seeking an Optometrist passionate about providing the highest level of personalized care to help patients of all ages and conditions achieve optimal vision. You’ll provide comprehensive eye care services, recommend vision-enhancing products, and promote good eye health through patient education. On average, 13 to 15 exams are performed daily with additional emergency visits.
The position is full-time, 35 to 40 hours weekly. The practice is looking for an ambitious professional with excellent patient communication skills and someone who genuinely enjoys caring for members of the community. For the right Optometrist, a future partnership or ownership opportunity may be available.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to continuously develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and be willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services. Minimum Qualifications:
- Optometry license in the state of Ohio

- Competitive base salary between $125,000 - $140,000 in your first year
