Job description

We are looking for a fun and energetic optometric technician to join our Bellingham office. We are located inside the Lenscrafters in Bellingham.

• Arriving to work 5-10 min prior to scheduled shift to turn on equiptment and prepare for day
• Conducting oneself in a friendly and welcoming mannor
• Greeting patients as they arrive
• Check in/ check out of patient appointments
• Proper presentation and collection of copays
• Properly receiving and accounting for patient payments
• Matching cash and card payments received each day to accounting in EHR system and properly depositing cash into cash bag daily
• Answering of phone and scheduling of appointments
• Verifying basic insurance eligibility
• Placing contact lens orders
• Conducts diagnostic tests to determine intraocular pressure and pupil testing for size, equality and reaction prior to dilation
• Assisting patients with fitting contact lenses
• Assisting physicians in performing procedures
• Maintaining instruments or equipment
• Measuring distance and near visual acuity using appropriate tests
• Operating equipment as necessary
• Maintaining a clean and presentable office environment

The position requires 5 days a week coverage. Weekend availability is mandatory. Hours are Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 9am-3pm, Sun 11am-4pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
