Job Title: Ophthalmic Tester

Location: Arlington Heights, IL

Job Type: Full-time

Our client has a busy ophthalmology practice in the Arlington Heights, IL are. They are seeking an Ophthalmic Tester to join their team and will train someone who isn't familiar with the industry. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of ophthalmic diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and visual fields.
• Prepare patients for the examination by explaining the procedures and answering any questions they may have.
• Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and is maintained in accordance with established procedures.
• Record all test results accurately and enter them into electronic medical records.
• Assist ophthalmologists in performing diagnostic tests and other procedures as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an ophthalmic technician is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic testing procedures and equipment preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
