Position Snapshot
The Operations Spill Specialist initiates and assists in the coordination of emergency response requests during oil spills, drills, emergency responses. The Operations Spill Specialist responds to client requests, escalates as necessary and provides timely follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
Day in the Life In a typical day you can expect to:

Assist in management of small to large scale emergency responses, industrial spills, complex emergencies involving natural disasters, fires, hazardous materials, chemicals and other pollutants.

Review and prioritize your list of emergency response related tasks for the day

Manage response activities of NRC’s response centers and subcontractors.

Uses internal software to initiate, track and manage responses while using multiple databases
-
Collaborate with other business units or resources to address any response related concerns

Maintain an accurate account of company assets including personnel and vessels
-
Maintain accurate documented records of company operations (i.e., daily logs, situation reports, case logs

Provide customer updates to your management team
What you need to apply

College degree preferred
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Two years of emergency response dispatch or field-level environmental emergency response
-
Ability to work 12 hours shifts with flexibility to work night and/or weekends

Ability to type 30 WPM

Moderate experience with MS Office Suite

Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
