The Details: The Operations Specialist will report directly to the Manager, Operations at a growing publicly traded insurance company based in La Jolla, California. The ideal candidate would be joining a dynamic work environment to drive initiatives and serve primarily as internal support staff for the Operations department. The candidate should be a self-starter and a highly organized individual with strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail. Working within Operations will allow the candidate to learn about other roles within the company – including but not limited to Accounting, Marketing, Product/Business Teams, Technology, and Underwriting– while accomplishing specific projects and job responsibilities, leading to strong professional growth opportunities.
What will you do:
- Primary help desk team member to set up new users and agents to company management system
- Assist with regulatory review and appointment/renewal of agent licenses by state through NIPR
- Entity Management across all departments and technology platforms
- Commercial Underwriting Policy Administration, including but not limited to ordering Loss Runs, Inspections, and Issuance
- Communicate with producing agents, carrier partners and assist Marketing, Accounting and Underwriting with policy services for all products
- Special projects including mail-merge letter creation and distribution, including on-site print and mail support
- Other special projects as assigned by the Manager, Operations
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree
- 1-3 Years of professional or Operational experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, and Teams (Access and SQL a plus)
- Strong Communicator and team player

Pay Range: $19.25 - $28.85
The above pay range is for all US-based roles based on function and level, benchmarked against companies of similar size and scope.
