Title: Operations Lead


JOB SUMMARY:


As an Operations Lead, your main responsibility will be to supervise and lead your team to complete daily tasks efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for monitoring and scheduling workloads to ensure all jobs are completed in a timely manner. In addition, you will oversee your staff's performance and provide training and mentoring to help them reach their full potential. It is also your duty to ensure all work is invoiced correctly and that safety protocols are maintained. You will be expected to think creatively to solve any unique or challenging job requirements that arise. Additionally, you will need to monitor and maintain the company's vehicles and equipment. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Work with your staff to establish a daily schedule of the jobs you need to complete for a given day.

Monitor the overtime and the efficiency of your staff.

Set performance goals for your team and drive your team to achieve them.

Assess job status and report progress to Dispatcher and Operations Manager

Make sure that all jobs are invoiced correctly and timely.

Train and mentor new and existing staff to set clear job expectations and help all employees obtain their greatest potential.

Monitor and maintain your assigned company vehicles and equipment.

Ensure adherence to ALL company safety practices, policies, and procedures.

Think creatively about how to solve unique or challenging job requirements.

Report all damages and/or injuries in a timely manner

Flexible schedule to include occasional weekends and night jobs

Ability to pass background and drug testing checks

Communicate professionally with customers and co-workers.

And other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:


Knowledge of the moving industry and the moving process.

Knowledge of computers and software, including Microsoft Office products

Demonstrated skill in providing excellent customer service and building relationships with customers and employees.

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

Drive company equipment including Type III PUC and possibly Commercial equipment requiring a CDL A or CDL B license.


EDUCATION AND EXPRERIENCE:


High school diploma

Valid driver’s license.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Must be able to sit, stand and bend for extended periods of time
