- We have 3-month contract opportunity for an Operations Specialist onsite in Carson City, NV!
The Operations Specialist is responsible for guiding members through the process of filing transactional disputes and other fraud related inquiries. This role is also responsible for staying informed of possible fraud trends and collaborating with Marketing and Member Services to communicate with members and staff as needed. Member communication includes professional handling of in-bound calls, situational assessment and recommendations, completion of appropriate documentation and adherence to all regulations as required. The Member Disputes and Fraud Specialist is tasked with building supportive relationships with members that helps our members to successfully navigate complex situations.
Responsibilties
- Effectively demonstrate our passion and purpose as a non-profit organization by "Helping More People Live Greater."
- Proactively assess fraud trends in the industry and develop appropriate communications for the membership and staff.
- Assist members with reports of fraud or potential fraud and recommend next steps, including appropriate documentation.
- Follow-up with external agencies (ie. law enforcement and shared branching) and internal support staff (ie. Plastic Card and Bond Claim Specialist or Member Accounting) as needed for transactional assistance.
- Track and report on statistics of members assisted and fraud trends.
