Our greatest wish is to give siblings in foster care a loving family and a safe home. As a certified foster care agency, we place Oklahoma Department of Human Services foster children in homes the greater Payne county region. In addition, we place children and teens on our 160-acre foster care community campus. There are five homes on campus that were built specifically to provide a safe and loving home for a minimum of four foster children, with the primary goal of keeping brothers and sisters together. We also help people become certified foster parents and support them on their foster care journey. We are committed to preventing placement disruptions by providing the support necessary for the foster parents to continue to say yes to foster care.
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, have good administrative skills, have the ability to be proactive and resourceful as well as the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. Must be creative with project work, resourceful, independent thinker, and self-sufficient as well as self-motivated.
Minimum Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree or appropriate certificate of training preferred.
● Excellent human relations and communication skills required.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
● Excellent typing, composition and proofreading skills required.
● Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize required.
● Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
● Manage overall administrative activities for the agency including coordination with staff, communicating essential information, organizing and assisting with meetings.
● Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
● Perform receptionist tasks, i.e. answering telephone, greeting office guests, managing the agency calendar, scheduling/managing calendar(s), making and confirming meeting arrangements, editing and proofreading proposals and writing correspondence.
● Prepare and manage correspondence: emails, memos, letters, etc., as required.
● Prepare and submit reports as required by staff.
● Maintain file systems and maintenance for the agency.
● Oversee, maintain and place orders for materials/supplies for the agency.
● Work in conjunction with the Director of Operations to ensure accurate financial records and processes by assisting with Quickbooks Online, i.e. data entry, collecting information from vendors, accounts payable tasks, payroll, agency requisitions, etc.
● Participate in a wide-range of agency projects and events.
● Promote Lions Meadows of Hope, its programs and employees at every available opportunity.
● Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
