POSITION: Off-Duty Police Officer

SITE: Retail Stores in the Seattle area

BCI seeks a dedicated and passionate Off-Duty Police Officers to serve as an integral part of the BCI security team.

On a typical day as an Off-Duty Police Officer, you can expect:

• A fast-paced, exciting, and challenging environment;
• A collaborative and rewarding team atmosphere;
• To remain active, engaged, and moving;
• Ever-changing conditions that move from quiet calm to extreme urgency in an instant;
• Working in a retail store environment, officers will be visible in a store front
• Officers may also be asked to assist and support retail store security with an array of security tasks including but not limited to; in-store foot patrols, stand-by as support during retail-theft apprehensions, and assist with disorderly guests.

Possible Schedule Options:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Minimum Qualifications at Entry:

Security Basics: Ability to learn, retain and perform basic security functions;

Risk Management: Ability to identify, educate, manage, and report security risks impacting service delivery;

Communication: Ability to listen, share, modify information effectively amongst different stakeholder groups and in varying departments;

Service Delivery: Ability to consistently demonstrate professional behavior that is responsive to the needs of the client;

Leadership: Ability to motivate, inspire, and influence others

Must have a year in Physical Security experience

Have a reliable and functional means of communication (i.e., cell phone)

The legal right to work in the United States

Fluent in English writing and speaking

Completed training on defusing assaultive behaviors

Certified completion of an approved police-training academy

Must have permission from authorizing agency to work off duty/secondary shifts as a police officer (if applicable)
