Nursing Technical Assistant FT Temporary FALL 2022 - SUNY Orange
Job description
Under the direction of the laboratory or simulation coordinator, the Technical Assistant (TA) works independently and is primarily responsible for setting up equipment for the multisensory laboratory classes, simulation scenario sessions, including mini simulations as well as student skill practices. This includes setting up multi-sensory labs to facilitate student learning, checking necessary equipment to see that they are in working order, and maintains labs in collaboration with staff. The TA will also maintain the catalog system for media in the department, inventories of equipment and general cleanliness and organization of supplies and materials in the laboratories. The TA will also maintain appropriate media for student use in Batcavern and library.
The Technical Assistant exhibits current skill competency and is technologically competent.
Job Requirements:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Associate degree in Nursing accepted but must be enrolled in a Bachelor in Nursing Program with an expected graduation date within 5 years of hire date.
Required Experience/Licensing: Currently licensed, registered and/or eligible as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York State.

Salary: $41,672 per annum. This is a faculty position for the Fall Semester
