Summary:
This position will perform Custodian work at the assigned location. The Custodian will clean all areas of the facility by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Professionally perform all assigned tasks to reflect the highest integrity of the Company. Must observe the uniform policy at all times.
- Performs routine cleaning of assigned areas in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
- Cleans and dusts surfaces, and moves furniture when needed or as instructed to clean the assigned areas. Mop and sweep all assigned areas daily.
- Clean and disinfect areas as assigned or as instructed in the scope of services.
- Collects both recycle and non-recyclable waste and replaces trash can liners.
- Account areas should be periodically cleaned using germicidal and cleaner disinfectants.
- Full vacuuming will be done daily or as instructed by the scope of services.
- Clean and/or polish tables, benches, elevator doors, mirrors/entry glass doors, or windows and chairs according to the scope of services.
- Remove cobwebs if necessary or as instructed according to the scope of services.
- Takes trash to assigned areas.
- Locks and unlocks doors and windows of assigned areas as necessary. If instructed turn off lights when rooms are unoccupied.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms daily and utilize the proper cleaning products.
- Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques.
- Maintain confidentiality according to Policies.
- Report to the Team Lead or Portfolio Manager any hazards as appropriate.
- Perform work as directed.
- Cleaning carts will not be left unattended.
- Custodial closets or assigned storage areas will remain clean, organized, and locked at all times.
- Keep hallways and pathways clear of carts, cleaning equipment, products, or tools.
- Leave your work area or equipment clean and ready for the next day.
- Must be able to adapt to last-minute changes concerning account location, account requirements, and last-minute projects, or assignments. Changes in schedule or work areas.
