Platform: DL380

Background: GE Power is in the process of updating their old DL380 (Gen 5-8) systems for newer Gen10 DL380s. All servers will be onsite prior to installation.

Scope:

Arrive onsite at the scheduled time

Be escorted to System

Contact NOC – to Advise Tech Onsite

Follow HPE provided runbook to connect system

Using CE Laptop login to system to set IP address

Contact NOC per runbook to have remote data migration initiated and validated.

While waiting for backup, perform cable labelling and site prep activities as defined in the runbook.

Once notified by NOC that backup is complete, remove old system per runbook, install new and follow installation verification activities.

Destroy the old hard disks (if requested by the remote engineer)

Package the old system inbox new system arrived in.

Leave at designated onsite site-specific shipping location

Provide pictures of old OSM, new OSM and destroyed HDD’s

Field Engineer will need:

Personal Laptop, with Wi-Fi and Ethernet both to work simultaneously

Screwdriver set

Ethernet cables (5-10 meters, preferable)

Personal PPE

Battery operated drilling machine to destroy the HDD’s

Mobile phone (or other device) to take pictures.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Salary: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Steens, MS 39766: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
