Full-Time Network Engineer 3
Overview
We’re looking for a Network Engineer 3 to join our team. This position is responsible Responsible for the daily technical support of the Institution-wide computer networks. Proactively researches and locates necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends as they develop. Ensures a stable performance environment for enterprise systems. Participates in complex aspects of various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the enterprise network infrastructure. Data center and cloud design, implementation, and support. Work closely with Information Security team on creating and maintaining firewall policy, including Cloudflare DDoS protection rules. The ideal candidate is an experienced individual with a strong background in Data Network Hardware, Protocols, Cloud Network Infrastructure, and Operating Systems. Some visa sponsorships supported. Responsibilities
- Design, configure, install, and maintain Data Network Hardware and Protocols, such as Cisco Routers (2800-7600) and Switches (3750-6500), Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Data Center Switches – Spine/Leaf Architecture, F5 Load Balancers, Netscalers, Aruba Access Points, Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco ASA’s.
- Design, configure, install, and maintain Cloud Network Infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Implement protocols such as TCP/IP, TACAC’s, Radius, OSPF, BGP4, SNMP, VXLAN, Multicast, Anycast, SIP, and Video suites of protocols, QOS, Cloud AWS/Azure experience, WAN/LAN/WLAN management.
- Monitor network performance, analyze network traffic, and identify potential issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain Solarwinds, Netflow, Airwave, and Aruba Clearpass.
- Install, configure, and maintain Operating Systems, such as Microsoft Windows 10, 2008, 2016, 2019, Linux, and AIX.
- Provide 24/7 on-call technical support and maintenance.
- Work with cloud-based technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- At least 8 years of related experience
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with Cloud Network Infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Data Network Hardware: Cisco Routers (2800 - 7600), Switches (3750 - 6500), Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Data Center Switches – Spine/Leaf Architecture, F5 Load balancers, Netscalers, Aruba Access Points, Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco ASA’s.
