Overview:
The Application Administrator will serve as the Dynamics CRM subject matter expert for the Office of Advancement, responsible for analysis, configuration and maintenance of the CRM Advance (Microsoft Dynamics 365) platform. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of Dynamics CRM entities, workflows, configuration (including UI / form development), security, templating, and reporting / dashboards. Individual will work with both technical staff and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solution as well as maintain technical documentation. Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Associate Director, Application Development, the Application Administrator is a member of the Analytics & Data Management Team within the department of Data Strategy and Innovation. Data Strategy and Innovation is dedicated to housing, managing, analyzing and disseminating information and data to inform University Advancement strategy, as well as fostering strong relationships with donors, volunteers and campus partners and promoting effective integration.

The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of Dynamics CRM entities, workflows, configuration (including UI / form development), security, templating, and reporting / dashboards. Individual will work with both technical staff and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solution as well as maintain technical documentation.
System Configurations and Customizations
- Responsible for the customization and configuration of CRM Advance through the creation or modifications of Dynamics forms, views, business rules, entities, fields and relationships.
- Responsible for the solution management of each platform environment, and the development of best practices and procedures related to system administration.
- Responsible for performing data migration activities.
- Collaborate with a diverse group of business partners and team members on business requirements and solutioning.
- Communicate project status and deliverables with managers and clients.
- Assist with the configuration and implementation of third-party systems.
MS Reports, Templating and Dashboards
- Develop new SSRS reports, templates or custom dashboards and/or modify existing ones to meet operational requirements.
Quality Assurance
- Responsible for the validation of biannual vendor upgrades, Microsoft Dynamics upgrades, and vendor fixes. Notify the vendor of any issues and either work with them to resolve them or make the necessary fixes in a timely manner.
Workflow and Data Pipeline Maintenance
- Responsible for implementing and scheduling new dynamics workflows to create system and organization efficiencies.
- Assist pushing or pulling data from CRM Advance to third-party systems.
- Assist in the creation of tables and views in the cloud data warehouse that is sourced from the SQL Server dynamics repository.
Security Management
- Manage user security in CRM Advance, including roles, teams, and field level security.
- Responsible for adding to adding and removing users from the system, adjusting security profiles and restricting or allowing access to CRM data/entity/form only for privileged users.
- Assist with the security management of third-party systems.
Production Support
- Responsible for the daily cross-functional operational readiness of CRM Advance platform.
- Analysis of load, log aggregation, reporting, systems performance analysis and monitoring.
- Follow change control and deployment of changes to production environments, documenting system configuration changes.
- Provide support for production issues both during and outside of business hours.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of MS Dynamics Administration experience.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics' workflow, including building, scheduling, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM technology including Customization & Configuration, Entities, Form Creation, Plug-ins, JavaScript, FetchXML, etc.
- Understanding of the functional capabilities and limitations for out-of-the box functionality as well as custom code.
- Strong background in the planning, designing, installing, configuring, and customizing of relational data modeling of Dynamics CRM solutions that are innovative, while observing best practices in regards to supported extensions of the platform.
- Proficient knowledge of MS dynamic security model, including roles, teams, and field level security.
- Experience in SQL Server and relational databases.
- Experience with XRM Toolbox and SSIS.
- Organizational skills to handle several projects simultaneously to accommodate shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others.
- Exhibits a high degree of professionalism, is deadline driven and results oriented.

Preferred
- Certified Dynamics 365 CRM fundamentals or Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Power Apps.
- Knowledge of C#/.NET Framework.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, operating systems, networking and security.
- Familiarity with project management and change management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with CRM API and REST web services preferred.
- Experience in cloud technologies and programming methods such as Snowflake, Python, and R a plus.
- Programming experience in C#/.Net a plus.
- Experience using Cognos or comparable enterprise reporting tools a plus.
- Experience with CRM Advance or other Ellucian products as plus.
