- At least 5 years of teaching experience
- Minimum of two years of working experience as a school leader

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Middle School Principal provides leadership for the instructional program, as well as coordinating with the Assistant Director of Instruction for the implementation, review, and revision of the curriculum at the school level. Supervises school staff regarding instruction, curriculum, student programs, and issues. Coordinates with school operational staff as needed. Schedules and attends meetings, as appropriate. Leads the site improvement process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides for the selection, supervision and evaluation of all staff members, as well as various staff procedures.
- Manages the daily operations of the building.
- Plans, conducts, and attends meetings, and events, and supports positive public relations.
- Responds to written requests for information from students, staff, parents, and businesses, as well as from other school districts; accountable for student reports.
- Develops and implements a plan for the continuous evaluation of the curriculum and programs.
- Develops the Middle School master schedule in conjunction with Elementary School and Operational Leadership.
- Plans and recommends budget, subject to administrative approval.
- Performs other comparable duties as assigned.
