Job Description
- Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities. Works in conjunction with the EHS Manager to maintain all policies and programs.
- Interfaces with customer service and sales functions to prioritize demand in terms of lead time and committed delivery dates balancing plant capacity to meet customer expectations, respond to customer requirements, and proactively improve current processes.
- Visits customers, understand the business and build relationships with partners.
- Manages customer complaints, following and responding complaints in a timely manner until their final resolution. Leads the investigation and root cause problem solving exercises, including the formulation of corrective and preventive measures.
- Creates processes to ensure scheduled orders will meet scheduled ship date to our customers. Mitigates potential delays and contingencies. Manages communications with customer service representatives ensuring on time information.
- Balances service level with production efficiencies by providing enough space in the backlogs, minimizing set-up times and waste levels. Communicates daily in meetings and receives feedback from supervisors, receiving inputs to determine changes in schedule as required.
- Oversees maintenance of optimum inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements while maintaining minimal carrying and transportation costs, freights.
- Acts as a resource to develop economic order quantities and purchase materials and supplies related to production.
- Reports department KPIs as required on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Analyzes and prepares pareto charts and root cause analysis for deviations.
- Leads continuous improvement program for the plant. Drive and support the implementation of Performance Management Routines at all plant levels, OEE, SMED, Zero Pull, Zero Flags, Standard Work, between the most important Amcor CI programs.
- Tracks plant CI projects, prioritize actions, follow up execution to deliver annual budget.
- Works closely with Operations and AFNA corporate support functions (R&D, graphics, etc.) on the industrialization of new products. Ensure customer requirements are well understood and a close management of associated processes up to the manufacturing of scale-up orders ensuring on time delivery.
- Monitors the accuracy of data for BOMA such as: routings, production standards, machine & order status, etc. Updates data and provides feedback and training as necessary. Coordinates MRP System data information.
- Ensures company is in compliance with all applicable storage and transportation regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis on business, operations management, or a related field.
- APICS and/or operations and supply chain certification preferred.
- A minimum 1-year prior leadership or management experience.
- High level of data analytics skills. Experience organizing and processing data, to understand problems or current state, and track improvements.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing role, a planning role or equivalent experience in supply chain positions like customer service, order management or transportation processes.
- Continuous improvement experience leading or participating as a change agent in projects with demonstrated turn around performance. Operational excellence and / or lean six sigma training preferred.
- Experience in flexible packing industry is preferred.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, ERP and Outlook) and advanced MS Excel capabilities.

- The pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be $86,700.00 to $108,400.00; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
