Your responsibilities will include
Inspect parts in CMM for dimensional and geometric accuracy as per all dimensions and geometric tolerance in drawing.
Write CMM programs (PcDMIS) for critical parts to ensure dimensions & gd&t are inspected continuously and reported for critical parts.
Inspect, test, or measure & report materials or products with the right measuring tools (calipers, micrometers,height gauge etc).
Maintain Appropriate log and communicate results and out of spec parts.
Review and store PPAP packages from internal parts and suppliers
Follow up with internal teams and suppliers open items for PPAP
PPTA (internal system) / SAP updated
Understands material issues from the line and reports it to the supplier.
Accept or reject parts/batch with the requirements on control plans
Report the inspection test data and discuss inspection results with the supervisor
Comply with Whirlpool PPE standards
Minimum requirements
Understanding of GD&T and CMM/ 3D programming. (PcDMIS)
Technical courses/diplomas in metrology are an advantage.
Problem solving and critical thinking to understand potential issues on the product from a customer perspective and potential solutions.
Ability to quickly learn and be passionate towards the work.
Organization skills for different tasks and data collection.
Ability to follow step by step processes and work well with others, read drawings.
Ability to lead by example and make timely business decisions.
Computer skills on PcDMIS,spreadsheets and presentations
