Senior Application Architect
An application architect with 12+ years of enterprise-level experience encompassing eco-system design, development, and delivery required; Must have hybrid cloud, SOA with microservices, integration framework, distributed systems, security exp.

Your responsibilities will be:
Provide leadership, detailed analysis, technology design expertise, direction, coordination, and consultation, in the development, integration, launch, scaling, and maintenance of new and existing products and solutions
Support the Chief Architect in establishing the strategic direction for application development approaches, including tools, processes, and frameworks
Define how a solution will be constructed: which existing Solution Building Blocks will be integrated, how they will be integrated and what gaps in capability need to be filled
Select, share with others for feedback, and promote the approved application development platform technologies, frameworks, and development best practices across the team/s
Promote architectural initiatives that drive revenue and improve efficiency aligned with business strategy and strategies defined by the Chief Architect. Influence and govern current and strategic architectural blueprints
Guide initiatives to align with the overall application portfolio and core platform blueprint and manage the evolution of the application portfolio
Provide design directives to software developers, including how to construct and integrate software, to meet all functional and non-functional requirements
Architect solutions by collaborating with development teams, Promote the standardization of database and infrastructure components, Spot opportunities for process simplification and automation, Support DevOps team, when necessary, in an expert capacity
Development of MVPs, Pilots and POCs of innovative initiatives are expected

To thrive in this position, you'll need to:
Have solid experience with web applications on high availability environments composed of SAAS platforms, Public and Private Clouds, and plethora of microservices minimum 12+ years working experience
Deep Experience with MERN Stack
o Experience with reactive UIs (using React or other front-end libraries/frameworks) - Experience with Javascript/NodeJS programming language
o Have strong understanding of RDBMS/noSQL (mySQL and MongoDB) and caching technologies (Redis and/or Memcache)
Have solid knowledge of web standards for designing, developing, and using modern Web APIs
Be experienced in development involving messaging systems - like RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS or Apache Kafka
Have deep experience with cloud services common to serverless architectures (such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, etc.)
Be experienced with scalable container-based deployments and CI/CD pipelines
Be aware about Web Components and OAUTH/SAML authentication (Mastering them is an asset)
Have some experience working with projects involving Data Warehousing or Machine Learning, especially with architectural definitions. Experience with Database or Spark is an asset.
Be experienced in leading discussions about enterprise architectures, designing and defining patterns of development (good communications skills required)
Be a mentor, leader and role model for senior developers and lead developers in the team

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
