Job description
The Litchfield School District is seeking applicants for a full time Mental Health Clinician for our Middle School. The employee will counsel students to improve social, emotional and psychological needs. Conduct safety assessments, provide crisis counseling for students, interact with parents/guardians, families and other relatives to facilitate to meet the students socio-emotional needs. Creates a plan for intervention for students with staff or outside parties, in attempt to have students engage in the learning process. Develop counseling treatment goals for IEP, document and report on student progress and attend IEP meetings. Start Date: Starting for the 2023-2024 School Year on or about August 23, 2023
Qualifications: A Master’s Degree in Social work or Licenses NH Mental Health Counselor. The candidate should demonstrate excellent organization and human relation skills, as well as proficient oral and written communication abilities, with an understanding of the New Hampshire Special Education process.
