Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire a Full-Time Membership Sales Assistant to provide support across multiple departments. This unique opportunity is a hybrid role that will provide administrative support and work on special projects within our Membership, Sales, Events and Marketing teams, with the primary goal of expanding and increasing retention of Chelsea Piers’ Member base. The Membership Sales Assistant will be a hard-working, team-player who is willing to be flexible and switch gears when needed. Primary Responsibilities:
Membership / Sales Support (65%)
- Work closely with Sales Director and Senior Membership Advisor to determine and meet department needs
- Develop a thorough understanding of Chelsea Piers’ programming, offerings, membership terms, benefits and amenities to provide excellent customer service to all members and guests
- Maintain a highly visible presence throughout the facility
- Handle and assist with member inquiries, club tours, sales and presentations
- Create and distribute monthly sales reports
- Develop and maintain SOP’s for Sales Team w/ Director
- Assist Sales Director with CRM management to insure clean and accurate data and reporting
- Manage incoming and outgoing calls, emails and calendar for the Membership Office
- Handle special projects and research as directed; maintain monthly projects list
- Manage approval process for corporate subsidies
- Manage inventory of all new member gifts, promotional items and sales related collateral in the Membership Office, including price sheet, group fitness schedules and Member Event signage, replenishing when needed
Member Support (10%)
- Assist with new member onboarding, including taking member photo, distributing and tracking inventory of new member gifts, assisting with initial visits to the club and providing excellent communication and service
- Consistent and thorough tracking and logging of correspondence with members and guests in order to provide a full scope of customers’ history and experience with Chelsea Piers
- Help troubleshoot any membership issues and assist with account updates, app setup and guiding them through various Chelsea Piers systems to ensure a positive and seamless experience
Corporate + Community Outreach Support (25%)
- Assist with research and preparation of corporate and private prospect lists/lead generation
- Assist with setup and day-of execution of all Member and Community Outreach events, including setup of space with swag, branded signage and collateral
- Oversee creation and distribution of the monthly corporate promotion to our partners
- Research and support initiatives to increase engagement with corporate partners
- Network and build trusting relationships with potential members and community partners
Qualifications:
- Four year degree in related field (Marketing, Communication, Business, Administration etc.)
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent computer/technology skills and ability to quickly learn our CRM system
- Highly organized and ability to keep track of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Team-player with willingness to be flexible and switch gears on short notice
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a customer facing position (experience in Fitness/Health industry a plus)
- Experience working with a CRM preferred
- Administrative and/or Marketing experience a plus
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
