MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/CARDIOLOGY (Oregon OH) M-Th, 9-5
Job description
Toledo Clinic's Cardiology Office/ located in Oregon Ohio, is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to provide front office support. Previous experience in a medical office is preferred but not required. This position is part-time (approximately 32 hours per week).

Scheduled hours are: Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
General Summary:
Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
- Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
- Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
- Updating insurance information.
- Answering general patient questions.
- Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
- Collecting co-pays.
- Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets.
- Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
- Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Education:
- HS diploma or GED.
Required:
- Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required.
- Computer skills helpful.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
Preferred:
- Previous clerical experience in a medical office
- Medical related coursework
