Job description
Sonographer needed to perform fetal echoes at outreach clinic in Morehead City one afternoon a month. The sonographer will provide patient care by utilizing basic ultrasound approaches when performing ultrasound studies. The sonographer customizes a computer generated or hand written preliminary report based on observations, collected data and obtained images which is presented to the physician for interpretation. The sonographer ensures the final ultrasound report is signed by the physician and then forwards the report to medical records.
Minimum Education/Experience
Associate’s degree in medical sonography, cardio/vascular sonography, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Some positions may require additional training, certifications, or licenses. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
