Job Overview: Medical Biller (NextGen Experience Required)

ProHealth Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join the team for a large Pain Management and Surgery Medical Group in the Irvine area. The ideal candidate will have NextGen experience and possess strong billing skills, including knowledge of Modifiers, CPT codes, Place of Service, and more. Experience with ASC billing is highly desirable.

Job Highlights for our Medical Biller:

• Location: Laguna Hills, CA and/or Anaheim
• Pay: $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities for our Medical Biller:

• Conduct medical billing activities using NextGen software
• Ensure accurate coding of procedures, diagnoses, and services
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• Submit and follow up on claims with insurance providers
• Handle denials and appeals, working to resolve any billing discrepancies
• Maintain patient billing records and confidentiality
• Stay updated with industry changes and regulations related to medical billing

Requirements for our Medical Biller:

• Previous experience with NextGen billing system is required
• Strong knowledge of Modifiers, CPT codes, Place of Service, and medical billing terminology
• Familiarity with ASC billing is a significant advantage
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
• Ability to effectively communicate with insurance companies and patients
• Proficiency in relevant software and technology for billing purposes
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
