We are a Traumatic Brain Injury Center with offices in Elmhurst, Brooklyn Heights and Manhattan. We are looking for an enthusiastic Spanish-English speaking charismatic individual, capable of multi-tasking, fully bilingual Spanish-English (Mandatory, we are not hiring non-bilingual candidates), and with great attitude. This individual will be in direct contact with patients.

Strong computer skills required, excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary. If you feel that you can make a difference, work with Physicians, Nurse Practitionsers and other clinicians to assist patients, please submit your application.

Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):

• Taking medical histories
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients
• Preparing patients for examinations
• Assisting the physician during examinations
• Transmitting prescription refills as directed
• Performing Medical Testing as well as paper and pencil
• Performing specialized Medical Testing and writing entry level reports

Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):

• Using computer applications
• Answering telephones

• Welcoming patients
• Updating and filing patient medical records
• Coding and filling out superbills and test forms
• Handling correspondence, billing, and scanning of patient's charts and others

Medical assistants are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in the physician’s office and often explain the physician's instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
