We are seeking a dynamic part-time ABE/GED Math/Science Instructor to work with a diverse group of adult learners. The class meets for two sessions a week.

Part-Time Career Readiness GED Math/Science Instructor Job Description:
- Part-time Seasonal.
- $30-$35/hour commensurate with education and experience.
Duties:
- Providing high-quality instruction to help students develop their conceptual understanding and math skills.
- Teaches adult students from various socio-economic backgrounds and education levels to take and pass the GED (High School Equivalency) exam.
- Tracks student attendance, and academic, professional & personal gains/accomplishments.
- Checks student progress via the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and other approved instruments to establish each student's baseline education level.
- Designing engaging lessons to help students foster an appreciation of math.
- Collaborating with staff and teachers to develop best teaching practices and enriching materials.
- Reviewing and communicating class progress with both staff and students.
- Actively partaking in teacher meetings and professional development.
- Maintaining class attendance and submitting in a timely manner.
- Participating in program-wide events and activities.
- Conducting required assessments and exams.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have Bachelor's degree and relevant teaching and education experience.
- Experience with online and in-person teaching preferred.
- Prior adult education experience, Master’s Degree a plus.
This is an in-person position and proof of Covid-19 vaccination must be submitted prior to hire.
