POSITION OVERVIEW

Reports to and receives direction from Manager, Maintenance. Responsible for coordinating and providing aircraft material/parts support for aircraft at assigned base. Performs a variety of duties and activities in the Receiving / Shipping / Stores sections within the Maintenance Department.

Responsible for clean, orderly, safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Receive, process, and resolve discrepancies of incoming materials.
  • Monitor and maintain aircraft and general supplies.
  • Ability to manage duties without direct supervision.
  • Work with Lafayette Materials departments to complete physical inventories. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain local parts inventory.
  • Work with Lafayette Materials departments to establish and maintain aircraft parts levels.
  • Control and monitor Shelf Life items
  • Coordinate the expedite process of aircraft parts with the Lafayette Materials support group.
  • Coordinate timely arrival of forecast parts with Lafayette Materials departments.
  • Forklift operator qualified.
  • Package and process material returns.
  • Comply with all DOT/FAA regulations
  • Responsible to Base Maintenance Manager for control of special tools and coordinating calibration when required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Competent computer skills.
  • 2 to 3 years' experience required.
  • Able to lift and handle freight items.
  • Good communications skills required.
  • Valid vehicle driver's license and in good standing.
  • Ability to pass a background check as required for airport access.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain a passport.
  • Hazmat shipping qualified or ability/willingness to obtain qualifications.
