Ausco Products is a long-standing manufacturing company in Benton Harbor, MI. We currently have several openings for experienced Material Handlers. This is warehouse work and requires previous experience driving forklifts and moving materials around within a manufacturing facility. Successful candidates will also have previous experience working with inventory management within an ERP system.

Requirements

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Stock all assembly lines & respond to the material requests from the shop
• Pull stages using picklist- manufacturing orders/material queue and transfer material in ERP system
• Pull daily shippers for small parts and deliver to shipping department
• Be familiar with Quality requirements, and comply with ISO standards
• Build kits, Print picklists & shortage sheets
• Maintain consolidation of parts in warehouse and on production line
• Print picklists and shortage sheets
• Complete the "first" daily cycle counts
• Put away incoming material from return baskets or the receiving dock
• Maintain the shortage list and fill shortages as material is received
• Understand manufacturing routings, BOMs, and "where used"
• Complete all R&D requests
• Pull pack (P.K.) kits for delivery to the shipping department
• Pack palletized parts for shipment
• Create UPS/FedEx shipping labels
• Investigate and correct transaction errors & complete necessary “second” cycle counts
• Adjust inventory in the computer system after thorough investigation

OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:

• Must have good math, reading, writing, record keeping, calculator, and computer skills
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills and ability to use them with internal & external sources, be flexible with the ability to multitask.
• Ability to properly follow written and verbal instructions & work with minimal supervision.
• Valid lift truck license
• Ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining safe and accident-free work environment.
• Ability to work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues
• Ensures quality standards are understood and maintained
• Accurately prepare paperwork, inspection records, and relays requests
