Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, currently has a Marketing Technology Manager opportunity at Ellsworth Adhesives, located in Germantown, WI. This position will be onsite in Germantown with hybrid eligibility after 90-120 days.
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Marketing & Digital Experience, the Marketing Technology Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of web properties within the company. They should understand how systems could interconnect to integrate data between platforms. Duties include platform selection, content management strategies, hosting, search engine optimization, e-commerce management, domain management, and data management. This individual also provides assistance on the management of social media outlets, rich media assets, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns including PPC programs. Other duties as assigned.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages web properties, platforms and data. Consults with other departments to recognize needs.
- Develops annual strategic plans including budgets and operates within established budget
- Develops architecture of websites including programming, database design, and user interface design.
- Stays current on industry trends such as new technologies, languages, platforms, and optimization requirements
- Oversees code changes and releases
- Provides support on web hosting environments (servers), including external hosting with partners.
- Manages web content and data and develops data maintenance strategies to ensure quality and accuracy of content
- Analyzes traffic and analytics to support content strategies, also reports findings to leadership team.
- Optimizes content for search engine optimization (SEO)
- Optimizes web experience for visitors, including A/B testing and behavioral content
- Provides technical support for websites and trains employees on web platforms
- Acts as project manager for major web development initiatives
- Work with web development team to roadmap digital experience enhancements.

Directly supervises all employees who work on web site development and data management. Individual carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree from a four year college in a related field of study and 4+ years in a related field of study and 4+ years of related industrial experience and/or training. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent at the discretion of Human Resources and the hiring Manager.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

To perform this job successfully individuals must have advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS and the ability to code without visual editors (WYSIWYG). Must be able to understand common programming languages including .NET, PHP, and JavaScript. Experience in both Linux and Microsoft hosting environments including Microsoft Server, SQL Server, and various Linux hosting software including WHM and cPanel. Experience with domain management and DNS. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of all Office products including Excel and Access as well as Adobe Photoshop. Experience with responsive design and mobile sites preferred.
