Sporcle is the leading provider of trivia entertainment at live events, on the web, and on mobile devices worldwide. ROLE SUMMARY

Sporcle is seeking a Part-Time Marketing Assistant to join our team. This person will create engaging content for our users/players to consume. The primary focus will be on newsletters and writing blogs that support them. Secondary priorities include social media management and managing ads shown in our nightly live event slide shows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write the weekly Sporcle Events newsletter - Brain Brew.
• Brainstorm and create blog posts to be featured on sporcle.com and in Brain Brew.
• Assist in creating other one-off email newsletters, including SporcleCon (SporcleCon Skinny), Sporcle Digital Announcements, and more.
• Work with the Design team to create nightly PowerPoint slides advertising various Sporcle services.
• Create Trivia Host talking points for nightly slides.
• Create and curate high-quality content for some of Sporcle’s social media channels, including text, images, and videos.
• Engage with Sporcle's followers and respond to comments and messages promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all marketing content aligns with the company's overall goals and messaging.
• Stay up-to-date with social media and newsletter trends and best practices and suggest new strategies to improve Sporcle's online presence.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to speak confidently and professionally.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong copy-editing skills
• Familiarity with email and social media marketing platforms.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrates a high level of accountability and professionalism in all dealings.
• Displays intellectual curiosity with problem-solving or making suggestions.
• Knowledge of and passion for Sporcle's purpose is to create mentally stimulating diversions that bring people together and a deep understanding of our audience and brand.
• Previous experience as a Sporcle player or host is preferred – let us know in your cover letter.
• Conduct an initial interview with our video interviewing application. Don't be afraid to let yourself shine!

HOURS & COMPENSATION

• This is a part-time position, with approximately 20 hours per week. Hours are flexible.
• The pay rate is at least $18/hour or as state law dictates.
