This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Marketing Assistant for the Student Health Services at Oregon State University (OSU).
The Division of Student Affairs enhances learning and strengthens the educational experience of Oregon State University students. This position will support Student Health Services, a unit within the division that provides leadership for health and wellness on campus and contributes to student success through the provision of medical care, prevention, advocacy, and wellness programs and services.

Working with the marketing and communication staff, as well as employees in the clinical, prevention, advocacy and wellness teams, this position will assist in content development and creation for social media channels that engages and informs students about Student Health Services activities, programs and services. In addition to social media content development and creation, the marketing assistant will also support other communications and marketing duties as assigned.
This position will require a weekly 5 to 8-hour commitment during the academic year with an option to return for the following academic years.
Position Duties
- Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms, tools and trends, including Instagram and TikTok.
- Create content for on-campus and online marketing needs for Student Health Services units (i.e., videos, photos, story-tell graphics, etc.).
- Demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to submit projects and deliverables on time.
- Conceptualize engaging ideas for the Division of Student Affairs and Student Health Services that address target audiences.
- Ability to act independently and work effectively with office staff to refine and finalize content.
- Demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the student experience and creating inclusive and supportive learning environments for all OSU students.

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
- International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
- Efficiency with communications tools (i.e., iPhone, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Knowledge of universal design, photography and videography basics.
- Proficiency in image or video editing software (i.e., Adobe Creative Cloud Suite or equivalent, such as CapCut or Canva).
- Possess an interest in learning university branding guidelines, the basics of Associated Press style, alternative text and accessible formats.
- Experience creating social media content for brands.
- Passion for health and wellness marketing and communication.
- The student worker will generally be required to work up to 8 hours per week or more during peak periods.
- This position requires in-person attendance on the Corvallis campus, with flexible hybrid hours and locations.
