POSITION TITLE: Marine Technician

REPORTS TO: Service Manager

We are in search of a full-time highly skilled and talented Marine Technician. Our technicians are the driving force behind the high customer satisfaction of our thousands of marine customers. In this role, you will diagnose and repair power boats with Mercruiser, Volvo Penta, Yamaha, Mercury and Suzuki engines.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be outgoing, friendly personality with superior communication and attention to customer service.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Have basic knowledge to apply diagnostic software to marine products
• Ability to calibrate and needed settings
• Diagnose and request needed parts
• Carefully remove and replace parts
• Perform test to verify the issue is solved
• Promptly communicate and submit completed work orders
• Completes other duties as assigned
• Establish and maintain effective working relationship with all dealership personnel
• Work in coordination with the yard and service departments
• Ability to resolve customer complaints

REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess own tools
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to communicate at a high level, both verbally and in writing
• Works well under pressure, managing stressful situations with ease
• Strong organizational and mild computer skills are required for the position
• Proficient in diagnosing gas engine issues
• Be team-oriented, self-motivated, and process driven
• Ability to operate a boat is strongly preferable
• Have a valid state driver’s license
