Job description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Facilities Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager, providing leadership and support in all areas of manufacturing, including safety, quality control, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Manages maintenance team by creating and managing maintenance project tacker, PM schedules and facility/grounds maintenance
- Oversees facility continuous improvement activities by leading kaizen events and managing rollout
- Creates and oversee implementation of KPI’s
- Approves and controls line moves within the facility as needed
- Manages the plant's Quality Program, directly supervising Quality Assurance Technicians
- Manage storm water for facility
- Works closely with executive leadership and provide updates regarding status of facility operations
- Will fill in for Plant Manager as needed
- Bachelors Degree highly preferred. Will consider 10 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience in lean manufacturing, quality systems and safety systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and experience utilizing CMMS such as Asset Essentials or Brightly or similar
- Ability to work on conflicting priorities and projects successfully
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong time management experience with the ability to prioritize projects and tasks effectively
- Excellent leadership skills to enable the development of teamwork among shifts and departments
- Good human relations including the ability to work closely with others
- Able to excel at operating in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive leadership role
- Excellent Time Management and prioritization skills
- May require limited travel to other plant locations for training purposes (up to 10%)
