Job Title: Manager, Technical Accounting

Position Overview:
The Manager, Technical Accounting, will be primarily responsible for assisting with technical accounting consultations via research and analysis of complex accounting issues. In addition, this position will assist with developing new accounting policies and implementation of new accounting standards. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and works closely with the Senior Director of Technical Accounting and External Reporting, the accounting team, and various business department leaders.

In addition, this position will assist with developing new accounting policies and implementation of new accounting standards. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and works closely with the Senior Director of Technical Accounting and External Reporting, the accounting team, and various business department leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Support company-wide technical accounting consultation via research on and analysis of complex accounting issues, applying relevant technical guidance and interpretation (examples include pharmacy operations initiatives, business combinations, investments, leases, software capitalization, research and development efforts, etc.).
- Work proactively and collaboratively with the business and finance partners to understand current and ongoing business negotiations and key contract terms in order to conduct research and evaluate the accounting treatment for proposed business transactions.
- Draft technical accounting memoranda to support accounting conclusions on complex issues.
- Support the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting, to implement and maintain the company’s accounting policies and monitor compliance.
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of financial operations/resources/policies and procedures for global expansion.
- Work collaboratively with third parties and external auditors on conclusions and documentation of complex accounting issues.
- Assist the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting, with the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Prepare training materials on new or existing accounting standards for company employees.
- Perform a review of company contracts for accounting implications.
- Responsible for performing internal controls over technical accounting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MSA preferred.
- Active CPA License.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of public accounting, corporate experience at SEC registered entities is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Experience with IFRS.
- Experience with accounting research tools, such as PwC Viewpoint/Deloitte Dart.
- Proficient in technical accounting documentation.

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,420.00 - $149,887.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
